I know the place of fasting and prayer when it comes to our walk with God, this is quite necessary and important. However, could anyone show me example of one person that prayed and fasted in heaven? I heard you saying but the rich man prayed in Luke 16:19-31. The rich man prayed in hell (vs.23) not in heaven. The angels do not fast and pray in heaven, they simply worship and carry out God's commands. You may say,  that is heaven but we are here on earth. I agree with you but to stress my point further remember that even Adam and Eve while in the Garden of Eden did not fast and pray once in a day, oh o! The bible says that when the fullness of time came, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world (Galatians 4:4). This means that God waited to send Jesus until the situation was ripe. Jesus came at just the right moment and place in history. What made this particular time 2,000 years ago right? According to biblical chronology, despite the possibility that the earth may have been in existence much longer, the creative act of God’s making man is determined to be at least six thousand years ago. If we were to use this measure to calculate the length of God’s redemptive drama for mankind, then the promise of the coming Messiah King would have occurred 4,000 years before the birth of John the Baptist. This means God waited for 4,000 years before He sent His Messiah King to earth. The question is why? Waiting For A Kingdom Model God is a great communicator. The Old Testament is earth’s file of heaven’s record of the promise of the coming of the King and the Kingdom. All the prophecies were about His arrival and what He would bring; the laws given to Moses foreshadowed the laws and principles of the Kingdom.
