The Message, Mission and Mandate of Jesus Christ!
“The most dangerous
thing is illusion”
·
Ralp Waldo Emerson
Losing an illusion makes you wiser than finding a
truth. It is an illusion to think you know when you don’t really know. I was in
the church for almost 40years not really known what the message of Jesus Christ
is. I didn’t know what He came to do, I thought I knew but I wasn’t. I could
see you already laughing or making jest of me please wait I tell you the truth
you don’t know either. I am not a baby believer. I have been in the faith for
years. I attended Bible believing church where God’s undiluted words are being
preached. I went to church regularly. I have been to Bible College your so
called theological school for years but not a course on what Jesus came do. I
was trained as disciple and pastor not known the message, mission and mandate
of Jesus. I wonder what messages we preach or what is going-on on our pulpits today
or what our Bible Colleges teach? I am trying to be sincere with you if I don’t
know what Jesus came to do and what He preached for almost 40years, I tell you
the truth you probably don’t know either and never allow illusion comes your
way to think you know because what they told us wasn’t the real message Jesus
delivered. Take it from me I stand to be corrected over 90% of churches today
worldwide didn’t know the true message Jesus gave, my opinion! I have been in
the faith for awhile, dedicated, devoted and very adhere to the truth. I am not
a dumb man; I am not a young convert. I was under an ordained man of God for
20years not really understand the message, mission and mandate of Jesus. He wasn’t
able to open my understanding at all; this is the work of The Holy Spirit.
However, before I declare what the message, mission
and mandate of Jesus is, may I quickly tell you what the message, mission and
mandate is not first and foremost;
- The message wasn’t the Cross.
- The message wasn’t the Blood.
- The message wasn’t the Crucifixion.
- The message wasn’t the Death, Burial and Resurrection.
- The message wasn’t Prosperity, Breakthrough and Deliverance.
- The message wasn’t Born Again in fact Jesus did not preach Born Again.
- Even He did not preach about Himself.
- The message wasn’t about heaven (I can see your religious heart started beating/ticking, easy, ok)
Jesus did not preach about Born Again at all, He
only spoke about it once with an old religious leader Nicodemus who came for
inquiries about the true message of Jesus at the den of the night because he
couldn’t afford the day time due to his status in the religious settings. Some
of the things I made mentioned above were just the means to an end but not the
end itself and when we make the means to be an end that shows that our
concept is erroneous. Your pastor preaches prosperity, deliverance,
breakthrough, blood, cross, death, heaven etc but that wasn’t what Jesus Christ
commanded. We preached things pertaining to Jesus but not the message Jesus
Preached. We build things around "things that concern Jesus" but ignore the true
message He preached and committed into our hands. What we preach today is the “what” of Jesus not the “why” and the why is the main reason He
came. The message wasn’t your pet religion He didn’t establish one.
Now, you may be asking, what then is the message
Jesus Preached? Jesus Christ preached only one message. He commissioned us on
only one message. He gave us only one message. He gave us only one mandate. All
the disciples preached only one message. Apostles preached only one message.
Please don’t believe me let the Bible; the of word God be our umpire and the Holy
Spirit reveals to us what the message is through God’s word, now take your
Bible and let us read together. Bible is capable of its own private interpretation.
We can’t read our greed to His Creed. Ok? Please be patient with me, it’s going
to be a long reading. If I don’t quote this directly some people will not agree
let alone believing that these are written in the Bible. Cool!

Acts 1:3
After

over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.” (NIV)
If you are still with me up till this very moment, It
really shows how hungry you are to know the truth, I can go on and on but
please be like a Berea Christians, take your Concordance, Google and any other
gadgets/devices you have please Google/Search for “The Kingdom of God” and it will amaze you how much Jesus Christ
preached about this. This is the message, this is the mission and this is
the mandate given to us if your pastors are not preaching this then you have
been scammed.
John the Baptist came to the scene by declaring and
saying; “Repent, for the kingdom of God
is here” (Mathew 3:2). Jesus Christ was baptised by John, the heaven
opened, the Holy Spirit descended on Him and the Voice came from heaven saying;
“This is my beloved Son in whom I am well
pleased, hear Him.” That same Spirit led Him into the wilderness for 40
days while fasting day and night to be tempted by the wild beast; the devil. He
defeated the devil/serpent, came back with the power of Holy Ghost and
commenced His earthly ministry. I hope you will be interested to hear the first
word or statement that came out from His mouth; “Repent, for the kingdom of
heaven has come near”- Matthew 4:17.
In Luke 4:43, Jesus told us His “WHY” of coming and I quote; “I must proclaim the good news of the
kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.”
Can it be clearer than this? Time will fail me if I start showing you how Jesus
preached the message of the kingdom. He devoted the whole book of Matthew
chapter 13 to explain and tell us what the kingdom of God like. When His
disciples approached Him on how to pray, please check what He taught them; “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your
name, “Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:9-10). Every
opportunity Jesus had, He used it to address or teach the message He came to
deliver; The Kingdom of God. He didn’t deviate from His purpose.
When
He sent out the Twelve He warned them about other messages they may like to
preach but He showed them that the focus is the kingdom of heaven,
watch; “As you go, proclaim this message: The kingdom of heaven has
come near.” (Matthew10:7 NIV). Notice
the article “this” in the midst of
sentence. It means preach this not others. Also Seventy Two others were
commissioned and He sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town and place
where he was about to go saying; ...heal those there who are ill and tell
them “The kingdom of God has come near to you.” Luke 10:9 (NIV).
Jesus
Christ also put the end of the world around this same message. In Matthew 24:14
Jesus said; “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole
world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (NIV). It means our message determines
His physical arrival on earth again, now you know who is delaying His coming.
Until we accept responsibility for a change and preach what He commanded us, He
is not coming, not my word. Until United
Nations (UN) adopt, accept and practiced this system of government on earth
as it was practiced here before, Jesus will not show up.
Jesus
Christ lived this message (Acts1:1), taught this message, trained disciples who
later became apostle for 31/2years same message but they
seem not to understand a hoot. He went to Cross, died, resurrected and came back
imagine continuing to teach the same thing; they don’t understand! He appeared
to them over a period of 40days after His resurrection, spoke about the kingdom
of God – Acts 1:3. They were asking Him, Sir, when will you restore the
kingdom? Jesus told them that the kingdom of God came not by observation but
the kingdom of God is within you, still they don’t understand Him then, Jesus
chooses not to give up on them as He commanded them to wait for the “Governor”; The Holy Spirit who will
teach them all things and bring all things to their remembrance. He is the
power of God. He is the link between heaven and earth. He is the Most Important
Person On Earth! He is the One bringing the kingdom of heaven down to us on
earth - Acts 1:6-8, John 16:7-15, John 14:26.
No
Apostles has ever preached the kingdom of God like Paul an Apostle of Christ.
In Acts 28:30-31 Bible says; “Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own
rented house, and receive all who came to him, preaching the kingdom of God
and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all
confidence, no one forbidding him.” Preaching what? “The kingdom of
God”, is that your emphasis today? This is where the whole church is stucked today
including your pastors; “teaching the
things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ” but left the real message Jesus
Preached and commanded us to preach. What a shame!
The
responsibility is on us today to know the message, mission and mandate Jesus
gave to us; this is where the power lies! He said I confer on you the religion
right? No! “I confer on you a kingdom, just as my Father conferred one on me.”
– Luke 22:29. This is the word use for Diplomat, an Ambassador. It is a legal
term. You are an ambassador of Christ, you represent the whole country; the
country of heaven! This is the moment of truth. This is the time to ask
ourselves some pertinent questions; What Is The Kingdom of God If That Is What
Jesus Christ Preached? What Is The Kingdom of Heaven? How Does This Kingdom
Operate? What Are The Cultures And The Responsibilities of The Kingdom of God?
How Can I See The Kingdom of God? How Can I Enter The Kingdom of Heaven? What
is The Priority of The Kingdom? What is The Kingdom of God Versus The
Government of Man? What Is The Original Concept of Colonization of Earth? What
Is The Kingdom Concept of Kings? What Is The Kingdom Concept of Lord? What Is
The Kingdom Concept of Territory? What Is The Kingdom Concept of Constitution?
What Is The Kingdom Concept of Law? What Is The Kingdom Concept of Keys? What
Is The Kingdom Concept of Citizenship? What Is The Kingdom Concept of Culture?
What Is The Kingdom Concept of Giving To The King? These are some of the few
things Jesus taught the people. The hour has come for you to know the reason
why Almighty God couldn’t spare His Only begotten Son in heaven, sent Him on
earth to suffer and die in order to restore you back to your original place
with the Father. This is the message Jesus Christ came to deliver, it’s good
news although the church is still playing religion. It is not religion friends! Wake up please! Stop being churchy! Enough of this hocus-pocus (deliberate
mysterious nonsense) in our churches. It’s high time you Known and understood
The Message!
Conclusively,
Matthew 11:12 says; “And from the day of John the Baptist until now the Kingdom of
heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” Meaning?
Until John the Baptist the Kingdom of God was not the emphasis but the moment
John the Baptist came to the scene the game changed, he is about to introduce
the Game Changer. It’s no business
as usual anymore. John ministry changed the status quo. And henceforth the
emphasis now on is The Kingdom of God
and since then it has been ADVANCING
FORCEFULLY! If this is not your pastor’s focus perhaps you may be having
Nicodemus as pastors. I rest my case.
